Will You Be There? 6 - This incredibly epic song has very interesting lyrics. It’s all about wanting to be held, protected, carried. I read a lot of “attachment to the protective function” in this song. “When wrong will you scold me? When lost will you find me?” — the testing of the 6, the wondering if something is really reliable. There are notes of 4-ness in this song too… a yearning for perfect attunement — someone or something that will be there to fulfill my every need. There’s something about the epic gospel freedom of this song that lends to the 6 though, I feel. “Holy Faith” — this radical surrender to that which holds me, carries me, always, as I take steps into the unknown.
